The Hosta Garden at the Springfield Botanical Gardens at Nathanael Greene/Close Memorial Park is so beautiful this year. If you haven’t visited yet this spring, it is a must! This past Friday was a work day to get the weeds cleared out and some plants moved around. The GOHS also takes care of the Founders Garden. It was in need of some week-pulling and cleanup. Both look fabulous, thanks to some great help from Autumn Overton Willis, Barbara Brown, Donna, Linda Hall, Melissa Gossard, Patricia Monday, Pat Swackhamer, Roberta Stewart, and Terry Thayer. Not to forget J.J. Averett, who works in the garden all the time, plans our work days, provides treats, and a hundred other things.
